1950s Italian white perforated cone sconce attributed to Gino Sarfatti. Executed in brass and white painted aluminum. Arteluce was one of the most innovative lighting design companies in Italy during the midcentury era, with Sarfatti their superstar. His designs have been long sought after by collectors worldwide. Unsigned.

Professionally modified for US electrical with new medium base socket, cord and custom brass backplate with brass hardware for mounting over standard American j-box. Accommodates a single US candelabra base 100W equivalent standard medium base LED bulb (lower with incandescent). Not UL listed, but recommended UL listing possible from authorized 3rd party vendor upon request for an additional fee. Some age appropriate scuffs, dings, nicks, bends and wear noted only for accuracy.
