Limited Edition 'Flatterby' Pendant Lamp for Ingo Maurer
 
This tribute to the enchanting beauty of nature comes to us from the brilliant imagination of Ingo Maurer, one of the most celebrated German lighting icons since 1966. With creativity and technical prowess, Maurer’s lamps have been explicitly designed to “stimulate the imagination and excite the emotions.” Today his Munich workshop continues to craft incomparable creations true to the one of a kind spirit of the firm’s founder.
 
When choosing the ten insects for the ‘Flatterby’ pendant, Ingo Maurer picked several black and white butterflies like the Black Swallowtail and the Rice Paper Butterfly as well as the Blue Morpho, and a small Brown Moth. The handmade, hyper realistic butterfly models are positioned around the oversized bulb using thin wires and illuminated almost from within with a delicate glow once lit. A 3D-printed white aperture ring wraps around the bulb and acts as a shade, while also bearing the embossed edition number, underlining the exclusivity and value of this 200-piece limited edition.

Executed in brass, plastic and glass with handmade insect figures. Illuminated via 1x G9 base halogen bulb, max. 60W, and compatible with bulbs of the energy classes EEC A-G. Bulb not included. Color temperature 2800K and color rendering index of 100, providing a maximum of 740 lumens. Featuring an 8ft. transparent 110V electrical cord (no integrated switch). Not UL listed.
