Poul Henningsen PH Snowball Pendant for Louis Poulsen.
The PH snowball pendant light emits comfortable glare-free diffused light. He composed it of spun aluminum shades. Matte painted undersides and glossy top surfaces result in attractive reflection, creating uniform light distribution around the fixture. When the light is switched on, the top portion is illuminated while the bottom part remains dark.
Poul Henningsen designed his PH snowball pendant light in 1958 and exhibited it with the PH 5 pendant light at the Danish Museum of Decorative Art. The PH snowball pendant light received no particular attention on that occasion and was only re-launched and manufactured in 1983.
