‘Luce Volante’ Suspension Lamp for Ingo Maurer
 
Designed by Ingo Maurer, one of the most celebrated German lighting icons since 1966. With creativity and technical prowess, Maurer’s lamps have been explicitly designed to “stimulate the imagination and excite the emotions.” Today his Munich workshop continues to craft incomparable creations true to the one of a kind spirit of the firm’s founder.
 
‘Luce Volante’ is an elegant object that seems to gracefully float in the air, as if suspended in motion. Its rectangular fiberglass body is attached on three points and molded with sinuous ripples throughout, giving the impression of a fluid, ethereal piece of silk fabric flowing in the wind. The lamp’s unique design, with light directed both upward and downward, provides superior, functional task lighting as well as diffused ambient lighting.

Illuminated via four integrated 5.75W EEC F energy class LEDs providing a maximum brightness of 2700 lumens (Downlight, approx. 2000 lm, Uplight, approx 700 lm). Color temperature 1800-2700K and CRI >90. Dimmable according to switch (switch not included). . Powered by a transparent cord with a maximum length of 13 feet. ‘Luce Volante’ is sold without a power supply (Power supply can be purchased separately, please inquire for details).
