Pierre Chapo 'S01' handcrafted four-legged wood stool for Chapo Création
 
Pierre Chapo was one of France’s most celebrated modern woodworkers and furniture designers. His sculptural and organic forms combine French modernist refinement with a traditional emphasis on craftsmanship. Today his made-to-order solid wood furniture continues to be handcrafted in France at the Chapo Création workshop run by Zoran Chapo, who embraces his grandfather's commitment to simplicity, sustainability, sincerity and creation.
 
First created in 1962, the 'S01' is a modernized farm stool which features a square thick top combined with rounded and inclined edges that foster a robust and rustic look.  Perfect for daily use, the 'S01' stools are executed in either elm or oak wood and finished in a simple and natural oil of linseed and turpentine.
 
Price per item. Available to order in unlimited quantities in 3 sizes as well as in choice of elm or oak, please specify when ordering.  Please note that the wood's grain, color and features vary from item to item due to the organic nature of the material. The larger two sizes feature cross ties for the legs.
 
Every item is made to order with an approximate lead time of 3 months to 6 months, depending on the piece. Typically lead time is roughly 3 months for seating, 4 months for tables and 6 months for large cabinets. Lead times are subject to change without notice. **SHIPPING NOT INCLUDED** In order to facilitate the most accurate shipping quote on Chapo pieces, the buyer will be invoiced directly by Chapo Création for the actual shipping cost once ordered items have been fabricated. Buyer is responsible for all customs duties, fees and import taxes as well as the removal and disposal of packing materials. Please note that items must ship from Chapo Création’s workshop in France, so local pickup is not available. Shipment insured through carrier only. Two Enlighten is not liable for any claims.
