Pair of 1960s Brass and Bubble Glass Pendants by Helena Tynell.

Executed in thick and heavy sculpturally textured bubble glass with perforated polished brass mount and ceiling canopy. Fabricated in Limburg, Germany circa 1960s. Unmarked.

 

Helena Tynell (1916-2016), a contemporary of Paavo Tynell, was an iconic Finnish glass designer who was a pioneer in her field. Throughout her career, she collaborated with well-known makers such as Taito, Glashutte Limburg, and Riihimäki Glass.

 

Lamp body measures 7.75 inches in height; glass measures 3.75 inches in height. Cord can be cut to desired length with a maximum drop of 48 inches.

Each lamp accommodates 1x 60W equivalent standard candelabra base (e12) LED bulb (LED only). Professionally rewired for US electrical with new period-style 4.25" ceiling canopy added. Not UL listed, but recommended UL listing possible from authorized 3rd party vendor upon request for an additional fee. Contact us to facilitate.

 

Some age appropriate scuffs, dings, nicks, patina, and wear as largely shown and noted only for accuracy. Please note that only one representative example appears in the photos. Some variation between lamps, but both lamps in comparably good condition and present well as a pair. More images available upon request.
