For centuries, famed Hida artisans in Gifu prefecture have played a role in Japan's woodworking culture, crafting iconic bentwood furniture from sustainable local forests. Established in 1920, Hida Sangyo builds upon the Japanese heritage of craftsmanship and sustainability from their headquarters in Gifu, which remains one of Japan's leading furniture production areas. In addition to offering iconic designs from midcentury masters like Sori Yanagi and Enzo Mari, Hida produces contemporary creations from international designers such as Atsuhiko Misawa and atelier oï.
 
Designed and built by the creators of Hida Sangyo, the 'Onga' coffee table is expertly crafted in solid wood and features a timeless design. The table top is nearly an inch thick and appears to float due to the design of the table's legs and frame. Featuring a shelf for discreet storage, the 'Ongo' coffee table is highly compatible and well suited for a variety of rooms. Please note that the wood's grain, color and features vary from item to item due to the organic nature of the material.
 
Price per item. Available to order in unlimited quantities in oak, walnut or beech. Also available without a shelf, please inquire for pricing. 
 
Every item is made to order with an approximate lead time of 5-6 weeks. Production lead times and inventory can change without notice. Please contact us for current lead times prior to placing time-sensitive orders. All sales are final.
 
SHIPPING NOT INCLUDED: In order to facilitate the most accurate shipping quote on Hida pieces, the buyer will be invoiced directly by Hida for the actual shipping cost once ordered items have been fabricated. Buyer is responsible for all customs duties, fees and import taxes as well as the removal and disposal of packing materials. Please note that items must ship from Hida’s workshop in Japan, so local pickup is not available. Shipment insured through carrier only. Two Enlighten is not liable for any claims.
