Jean Prouvé Abat-Jour Conique Lampshade for Vitra.
This lampshade is sold separately as an optional accessory to the Prouvé 'Potence' wall light.
During the 1940s, Jean Prouvé designed the Potence wall lamp for his own home in Nancy: a simple light bulb affixed to a long pivoting metal bar, supported by a steel wire. In 1947 Prouvé developed a cone-shaped lamp shade to match Potence in its different versions and sizes. Now available in an authorized re-edition for Vitra, the Abat-Jour Conique is intended for use with the Potence and Petite-Potence wall lamps. It is simply fitted over the light bulb and can be removed again when needed
Please note that this listing is for the lampshade only. The shade is executed in powder-coated steel wire, powder-coated with a brushed cotton fabric cover with plastic backing.
