Eames House Whale by Charles and Ray Eames for Vitra.
A prominent feature of the now-legendary Charles and Ray Eames personal collection was a huge wooden whale over two metres in length, an anonymous work of North American folk art. The Eames House Whale occupied a permanent place in their office and was also used in photo shoots, including the first photos of their iconic Eames Lounge Chair. This smaller-scale authorized re-edition of the Eames House Whale by Vitra is executed in solid ash wood and painted by hand.
