1940s Perforated Brass Conical Ceiling Lamp Attributed to Paavo Tynell. This sculptural semi-flush mount executed in perforated brass with an attractive patina. Highly characteristic of Tynell's iconic work for Taito Oy in the late 1940s or early 1950s. An incredibly refined piece that is quintessentially Finnish in its conception and execution. Unmarked.
Accommodates 1x 60W equivalent standard medium base (e26) LED bulb (LED only). Ceiling plate measures 7.8" in diameter. Professionally rewired for US electrical and for mounting over standard US j-box. Not UL listed, but recommended UL listing possible from authorized 3rd party vendor upon request for an additional fee. Contact us to facilitate.
Some age appropriate scuffs, dings, nicks, patina, and wear as largely shown and noted only for accuracy.
