Originally designed in 1959 by Ole Wanscher the 'OW149 Colonial' chair was created as a tribute to classic conservative trends and built to last a lifetime, or two. As the Danish newspaper Politiken wrote in 1958, "Owning a Wanscher chair is an adventure every day, and will be so even several hundred years from now, for this is how long it lasts." Featuring Wansher's trademark design the curved armrests rise to a point before taking a turn downward. The back legs curve gently outward creating additional stability while adding a certain level of refinement. Available in a matching sofa, footrest and coffee table as part of the 'Colonial' series. Executed in wood, natural grain semi-aniline leather and an oil finish.
