Pair of 1940s Finnish Minimalist Plug-In Wall Lights Attributed to Paavo Tynell.

A highly refined pair of adjustable rectangular wall lamps executed in metal with white painted interior shade that rotates up and down with original on/off switch. A highly functional design of deceptive simplicity, these wall lights exude Finnish refinement. Paavo Tynell designed nearly identical wall lamps for various well-documented hospital projects in Finland in the 1930s. Unmarked.

Price is per pair. 4 lamps available.

Each lamp accommodates 1x 60W equivalent standard US candelabra base (e26) LED bulb (LED only, not included). Professionally rewired for US electrical with new 7' black twist cloth cord and period-style US wall plug. Retains original switch on lamp. Not UL listed, but recommended UL listing possible from authorized 3rd party vendor upon request for an additional fee. Contact us to facilitate.

Some age appropriate scuffs, dings, marks, and wear as largely shown and noted only for accuracy. Please note that only one representative example appears in the photos. Some variation between lamps, but both lamps in comparably good condition and present well as a pair. More images available upon request.
