Monumental Robert Maxwell 'Sunburst' Wall Sculpture.
This large wall sculpture is created with the original ‘Sunburst’ pattern from the early 1960s, a recurring motif that Maxwell would revisit throughout his decades-long career in ceramics. Made in Maxwell's Venice, California studio, this monumental wall sculpture is executed in fired stoneware in the now-iconic 'Sunburst' pattern.
The piece is mounted on the original plywood frame. Bespoke metal mounting bracket included. Purchased from the Maxwell estate. A very clean and incredibly rare monumental example from Robert Maxwell. His works are sought after by collectors in the know.
In good condition with some age-appropriate scuffs, dings, minor chipping and wear as largely shown and noted only for accuracy. Please inquire for additional photos or video.
