Michel Mortier M4 Suspension Lamp for Disderot.
 
Originally designed in 1952, this sculptural lamp is a newly produced numbered edition with a certificate of authenticity. Made in France by Disderot with many of the same small-scale manufacturing techniques and craftsmanship as the original run.
 
Designed in the shape of a hot air balloon, this ceiling light represents part of the mid-century lighting design revolution. It is one of the few suspension lights in the world to offer all three lighting modes in a single source: focused light, upward ceiling light for a soft ambient effect, and discrete light to gently illuminate the faces of guests. Its beautiful proportions, adjustable height, and updated range of colors enhance its contemporary design. Executed in lacquered metal and aluminum. Height is adjustable.

Comes in the manufacturer's box with a “Certificate of Authenticity”. Professionally modified for US electrical. Accommodates 1x 100W equivalent standard medium base LED bulb (lower with incandescent). Not UL listed, but recommended UL listing possible from authorized 3rd party vendor upon request for an additional fee.
