Greta Magnusson Grossman 'Cobra' Table Lamp for GUBI

The 'Cobra' table lamp was originally designed by Grossman in 1950 and is now offered as an authorized re-edition by GUBI of Denmark, who meticulously reproduces her work with scrupulous attention to detail and materials that are faithful to the original specifications. The Cobra series of lights gets its name from the shape of the its shade, which is suggestive of the elegant lines of a cobra. The 'Cobra' won the Good Design Award in 1950 and was exhibited at the Museum of Modern Art.

Executed in metal with brass accents and a semi-matte black finish. The 'Cobra' Table Lamp is a classic and yet unique lamp that with its tubular flexible arm can be bent in all directions, allowing the shade to be rotated through 360º. This creates a wide range of lighting options for either the work desk or a soft light in the living room.
