Gino Sarfatti model no. 2065 ceiling lamp. Designed in 1950, this is an authorized 2017 Astep/Flos re-edition by Alessandro Sarfatti, grandson of Gino Sarfatti, who applies his grandfather's scrupulous attention to detail and materials to offer a tightly curated selection of iconic lighting originally produced by Arteluce. Professionally rewired for US electrical. Unused in original factory box.
Model 2065 consists of a diffuser made of two joined opalescent perspex saucers, suspended from the ceiling with a black-painted aluminum canopy and black or white cord. The simplicity of Gino Sarfatti’s elliptical design and the lightness of the materials make for a seemingly weightless chandelier. An iconic example of Sarfatti's innovative and experimental approach.
