'Foldable Drop-Leaf Table' by Alvar Aalto for Artek
 
Designed by Alvar Aalto in 1933 as part of his L-leg series, the Aalto tables are crafted for compact living. This drop-leaf version of the table table extends effortlessly to offer increased seating and storage space. Execute in easy-to-clean hard-wearing laminate that is ideal for dining and birch veneer that lends warmth to any space. Suitable for the seating of 2-3 people in compact kitchens or dining areas, the versatile table can easily be extended to accommodate one extra guest with a simple sliding mechanism. This table pairs with other benches and chairs from the Aalto line from Artek.
 
Available in birch veneer, white laminate and black linoleum. For 2024, limited edition options include: clay/walnut, pistachio/olive and vapour/smokey blue. Please specify when ordering. Note that color variation occurs naturally over time as the drop leaf can be kept closed when not in use, resulting in differing levels of exposure to light and a different aging rhythm to that of the table top.
