LARGE Pierre Chareau 'Triple Block' Model #230 Sconce. Hand-crafted in Los Angeles in the workshop of noted French designer and antiques dealer Denis de le Mesiere, who meticulously reproduces the work of Chareau with scrupulous attention to detail and materials that are faithful to the original. Executed in the highest quality solid Spanish alabaster mounted on a minimalist satin finished black oxidized steel bracket, this ultra refined design adds a sculptural element and focal point of incomparable beauty.

Pierre Chareau (1883–1950) was a pivotal French architect and design figure in modernism. His incomparable Art Deco lighting and furniture have long been obsessively pursued by collectors around the world. His visionary glass house, the Maison de Verre, is universally hailed as a design icon. Chareau synthesized architecture, fine arts, and style, designing highly sculptural lighting and furniture that defined him as a radical innovator in the use of materials.
